Jamaica to Reopen Its Borders on June 1

first_imgNationals seeking to enter Jamaica from countries within this travel bubble may not need to be tested on arrival. They would, however, be subject to health status screening (including temperature checks, symptoms observation, etc.) They will also be subject to mandatory 14-day home quarantine. “Countries with similar management & profile result for Covid-19 regarding spread, death rate, infection prevention & control measures, contact tracing protocols & other such criteria could constitute a “travel bubble” that would determine the protocols applicable to their entry. Prime Minister Andrew Holness said that the reopening of the borders means greater personal responsibility for the returnees. The announcement was made tourism stakeholders in a letter signed by Minister of Tourism Edmund Bartlett. ALL Jamaicans will still need to apply to come home using the jamcovid19.moh.gov.jm Over the last few weeks, as the COVID-19 numbers have declined, Jamaica has allowed the reentry of citizens stranded overseas under the controlled reentry program. Approximately 2,300 persons have entered Jamaica so far under the program. Jamaicans returning from countries not considered to be within the “travel bubble” and returning to high risk communities will be tested and quarantined at home with either phone or wristband geo-fencing.” As for non-Jamaican tourists: As of June 15, testing on arrival will be subject to the result of the public health screening at the port of entry. All tourists entering Jamaica, however, will be encouraged to undergo voluntary testing at the port of entry. The Jamaican government has announced that it will reopen its borders in June; first to repatriate Jamaican citizens beginning on June 1 and then to allow international travellers to visit, beginning on June 15. last_img read more

Damir Beljo: Adnan, thank you for such a Match and the Speech that followed!

first_imgDamir Beljo, a boxer from Sarajevo and the European champion in WBO version, congratulated Adnan Ćatić on the world champion title.“We had an opportunity to watch an amazing match worth of a world champion title and a lot more! I enjoyed the boxing and I truly thank Adnan for such a match, attitude and the speech in the end. Adnan, at the age of 37, in an excellent psycho-mental shape, against the Russian machine… The match was amazing and both of them deserved huge acknowledgement, especially Adnan, who really gave everything he could. He pursued victory. Great domination can hardly be expected in matches like this one because that is unreal, they are ultimate boxers, but what Adnan demonstrated was amazing given the opponent he had, and he won the world champion title for the fifth time!Champion, thank you for everything. May God bestow you with health, happiness and blessings. Unfortunately, there are always going to be those who will find whatever the reason to comment negatively, and they will probably do so with this statement of mine as well, but I believe that we should all just enjoy in our athletes, all the achievements, and not care if the athletes are from BiH, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro…We are all neighbors, we understand each other and why would we be envious or divide ourselves to ‘ours’ and ‘theirs’? We are all God’s children and we are all ours! Adnan, thanks for this great achievement,” Damir Beljo wrote on his Facebook profile.(Source: klix.ba)last_img read more
